Ottoman Cinema Workshop

In this workshop, cinema periodicals published in the late Ottoman era, like Temâşâ, Sinema Mecmuası, Ferah, Artistik Sine ve Sinema Postası, and archival documents ad rem will be latinized. Then, a terminological index consists of names and concepts will be drawn based on those documents.

Main goal of the project is to inscribe records of aforementioned texts to TSA (Turkish Cinema Studies) database.

Workshop will be conduct by F. Samime İnceoğlu and Ayşe Yılmaz. It is going to be heldtwice in a month.

 Participants are expected to meet certain qualifications below:

1.      Able to read printed Ottoman texts

2.      Regular attendance

3.      Being acquainted/informed/familiar/ with cinema
