In this workshop, cinema periodicals published in the late Ottoman era, like Temâşâ, Sinema Mecmuası, Ferah, Artistik Sine ve Sinema Postası, and archival documents ad rem will be latinized. Then, a terminological index consists of names and concepts will be drawn based on those documents.

Political Adventure of Cinema in Islamic Geography

This workshop will discuss the cinema's political adventure in the Islamic geography.How did the political form of the cinematograph find a response in Islamic countries? How did the device itself help in discussing its political agenda? The cinema also discusses some important concepts such as secularism and modernization in the Islamic geography within the thematic order. These discussions and questions will be discussed through selected directors and films.
