The 25th of our traditional and rooted student symposiums takes place in BISAV at the 17th of May. 13 papers from various disciplines will be presented. All the sessions are public.
Conflict and Negotiation: Turkish and Armenian Dramatic Literature in Ottoman

On May 17st 2014, Center for Art Studies will host Mehmet Fatih Uslu under the Kırkambar Book Talks. Uslu will deliver a speech about his book “Conflict and Negotiation: Turkish and Armenian Dramatic Literature in Ottoman”. The event will be held in Şakir Kocabaş Hall of the Foundation for Sciences and Arts at 15:00.
Left and Violence: Revolutionary Voilance in 1970's Turkey
Hüseyin Etil
Organized by Centre for Civilizational Research, this month's third speaker for the series Tezgahtakiler is Hüseyin Etil. Etil will make a presentation about how Leftist movements in Turkey have become propone to resort to revolutionary voilance in relation with state's politics and how these movements getting more and more revolutionary in the context of his recently published article in the book The Dimensions of Political Violance in Turkey edited by Güney Çeğin. The speech will be conducted in Turkish.
