Bülten 81 released!

Monday, June 10, 2013

81st issue of BSV Bulletin covering the events between January-April 2013 has been released.

Having spring term courses left behind, here are the outstanding topics: Center for Global Studies (KAM) has introduced a new discussion series under the title of "New Actors in Turkish Foreign Policy". The new discussion series introduced by the Center for Civilizational Studies (MAM) is bearing the title of "Contemporary Sociological Tendencies in Turkey". Center for Arts (SAM) organized its first student symposium. As an outcome of the Workshop for Inquiries into the Islamic Art and Artistic Thought, it was organised under the title of "Expertise Symposium on Taswir: Prohibition in Islamic Visual Culture, Tradition and Practices". Center for Turkish Studies (TAM) has organised the mini-symposia "Balkan Wars and the Construction of the Turkish Identity" together with the discussion on "Ottoman Constitutionalism" alongside the introduction of "Economic History Workshop".

Besides those, colloquia were held out by the centers. Details on those colloquia together with the panels of SAM and TAM are available on the web pages of the centers.

The poems in the Mola pages prepared by Turgay Şafak were written by Kemal Edip Kürkçüoğlu.

We wish 2013 Summer Program that will be held between June 24 and 29, to be availing and fruitful.
