Music, by its ontology, is capable of expressing more abstract notions compared to other artistic systems. As a voice configuration art, it is conducive to express imagination in musical notation. Additionally, it evolves in relation with temporal and spatial categories and therefore can pervade all aspects of the social life.
In this very workshop, music is going to be examined in detail as a sociological phenomenon, and discussed how it reflects on ideational matters. The first meeting will be held on March 5th, 2016 Saturday at 10:00 am. Individuals wishing to participate should pen a statement of purpose* (no longer than 500 words) and send it to [email protected] until February 23th, 2016, 18:00pm.
