The Center for Turkish Studies at the Foundation for Sciences and Arts organized a conference, titled "The Second Constitutional Period in the Ottoman Periphery," on December 20, 2008.
Organized by the Center for Turkish Studies, this symposium’s participants discussed such topics as the Young Turks’ activities, organizations, and propaganda in the Ottoman periphery; the formation of the idea of constitutional monarchy in the periphery; and the creation of the constitutional government and the perception of the constitutional revolution in the periphery. Some of the presented papers also unearthed new findings on these issues.

As the most traditonal activity of BISAV, the courses take place in every fall and spring of a year.
