On October 8th 2016, Center for Turkish Studies will host Ali Adem Yörük* under the diskussions theses-articles. Yörük will deliver a speech about “Constitutional Perception of Ottoman Jurists in Second Constitutional Era”** based on his thesis.***
The constitutional perception of Ottoman jurists that has been taught in the Second Constitutional Period is the subject of that dissertation. Public law texts, is the axis of the study. Following an analysis on the law schools coterie, I am going to examine these topics related to the constitutional perception of jurists: sources of constitutional institutions, and debates of changing the Ottoman constitution. Finally, I will explain debates legitimacy of the constitutional institutions and concepts.
