On June 4th 2015, Center for Art Studies will host Yasin Aydınlık under the Kırkambar Dissertations and Articles. Aydınlık will deliver a speech about "Representations of the Kurdish Question in the New Cinema of Turkey" based on his master thesis. The event will be held in Şakir Kocabaş Hall of the Foundation for Sciences and Arts at 18:00. The events will be held in Turkish, and are free to public.

A View to Turkish Cinema in 2014/15

The Center for Art Studies is organizing a panel titled “A View to Turkish Cinema in 2014/15” on June 6th, 2015. The panel will be held under the moderation of Koray Sevindi, and Barış Saydam, Murat Tırpan, Halil Kardaş and Zeynep Çetin Erus will be respective speakers. The panel will be held in Zeyrek Hall in BSV at 16.00. The language of the panel is Turkish and it's free to public.

The influence of western enlightenment on Jewish modernization: In the case of Moses Mendelssohn

Organized by Center for Civilizational Studies, this month's first speaker for the series Tezgahtakiler is Seda Özmen. Özmen will make a presentation about the Moses Mendelssohn's philosophy as a leading figure who provides intellectual basis of Jewish modernization by means of the values of Enlightenment, in the context of his Ph.D thesis. The conference will be conducted in Turkish.

Araba Sevdası: Critical Edition as Literary Criticism
